Our initial 639 MB garnered praise from the upper echelons of the golfing world for its workability, good looks and buttery feel. However, even the best still have room for refinement. Thus, the Sub70 649 MB Tour.

Designed specifically for high level ball strikers, the 649 MB Tour was born from the original Sub70 639 MB head, but several extremely precise tweaks were made to produce a club that met the specific parameters desired by tour and other preeminent players.

First, the sole was widened by 1 millimeter to prevent digging and accommodate higher swing speeds and steeper attack angles. Additionally, the weighting and mass distribution of the original 639 MB was modified to create a slightly higher launch in the 649 MB Tour.

Next, the already minimal offset of the 639 MB was reduced to .5 millimeter throughout the entire set, resulting in a neutral face through the impact zone. Finally, the rear center of the 649 MB Tour was ported, allowing for the removal of 6 grams of weight from the head. This weight was then replaced via a 6 gram tungsten weight in the toe region of the club. Ultimately, the tungsten weight operates to keep the face from rotating through impact, granting the players with a 649 MB Tour in their hands the utmost confidence that the left miss has been eliminated.

Based on two years of input from tour level players as well as real world and lab testing, the Sub70 649 MB Tour is an iron that is meant to allow golfers to swing as hard as they would like without fear of the left miss, while retaining the playability, feel and control of the original 639 MB. The 649 MB Tour provides the pinnacle of performance for the most demanding players in the game.

Please note that the raw finish club heads are meant to rust and create a patina over time. They will arrive with a dull satin appearance but do not actually have a finish applied to them. These heads will begin to rust and build character as they are introduced to moisture and the elements. The player's treatment of the clubs will ultimately affect the amount of rust/patina on each club

All clubs are assembled in India by the most skilled club builders.
